Why I Could No Longer Continue
After 13 years as CEO at Qubidu, I realized: my role no longer fit. An honest look at my journey from day-to-day operations to AI consulting - and why a client project with 200 scanned pages changed everything.
I want to tell you something, even though it’s hard for me.
For a long time, I told myself that I didn’t have time or that my topics weren’t interesting enough. But the truth is: the real reason ran deeper.
For months, I went to bed frustrated and didn’t want to get up in the morning.
This frustration didn’t come overnight. It became increasingly clear to me that my greatest strength lies in helping people find clarity. The problem? Despite this clarity, I remained trapped in familiar structures, hoping things would change on their own.
I experienced this blockage daily at Qubidu. And that hurt, because I’m incredibly proud of what I built over 13 years with my business partner and our great team. But in the end, I had to face an honest realization: my role no longer fit.
The Tension Between Strength and Role
I loved the strategic workshops where I could create clarity for clients. But afterward, the tension began: as CEO, I had to manage projects whose technical implementation I couldn’t control as a non-developer.
The paradox? I successfully built marketing and sales for countless clients. In my own company, I never managed to do it.
The call for something different grew louder and louder.
The Moment That Changed Everything
Then came the realization during a client project: 200 pages of scanned documents, a local LLM, nearly flawless answers to all questions. It suddenly became clear to me: this doesn’t just change how we work, but who will even be working at all.
And that’s when I knew: I can’t continue like this anymore.
My focus was on the operational management of my company. A role I no longer burned for. At the same time, I saw: out there, entrepreneurs are facing the biggest change for their companies and their entire careers.
And what they need most urgently is clarity.
The Decision
The decision was hard, but my pain was too great: out of day-to-day operations.
